In 2019, the company obtained authorisation as a Private Customs Bonded Warehouse for its Cortemaggiore (Piacenza) facility, granted by the Piacenza Customs Authority.
A customs bonded warehouse is an authorised facility that allows non-EU goods to be stored under suspension of VAT, customs duties and other import charges, enabling companies to optimise the financial and logistical management of their imports.
Goods can be placed into the warehouse and remain under customs supervision until customs clearance takes place. At that stage, VAT and customs duties are settled, and the goods may be released for free circulation within the market.
