Alberti and Santi: An Accountability Model with AEDs in the Company

Although Italian law does not require private companies to equip themselves with a defibrillator, Alberti e Santi has nonetheless chosen to undertake a path towards cardio-protection within its own premises. The installation of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is, in fact, an act of profound social responsibility and a direct investment in the protection of life.

This commitment materialized in the autumn of 2024, when over 30 employees at the Cortemaggiore site participated in a training course, obtaining a lay BLSD (Basic Life Support and and Defibrillation) operator certificate. To complete this journey, Alberti e Santi crowned its cardio-protection program by equipping itself with two semi-automatic defibrillators. These devices, strategically positioned within the company, allow for rapid and effective action in case of sudden cardiac arrest.

The availability of the AEDs is not limited to Alberti e Santi personnel alone; the defibrillators can also be located through the regional emergency portal “DAE RESPONDER”. This means that, if needed, during company opening hours, even individuals external to the company can quickly locate and access these life-saving devices, making Alberti e Santi a reference point for safety not only internally but also for the wider territory.
